Linda Rodríguez

Executive Assistant

Domicile State: TX

Linda moved to Austin from Lubbock, Texas to join Asset Strategies in January 2020. She graduated in December of 2018 from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Personal Financial Planning and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. She worked as an online assistant for a financial service firm from May 2018 until December 2019.

Born in Clovis, NM, Linda started volunteering when she was 14 as a Candy Striper at the local hospital, where she also learned to knit. She believes,

“Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy… When you volunteer, you vote everyday about the kind of community you want to live in.” – M. Moore.

Twelve years of volunteering and giving back enforced her belief of having altruism as an ethical doctrine. Although giving back has always been a part of her life, her time at Texas Tech helped develop her passion to do so.

Throughout her career at TTU, she joined many clubs within the Lubbock community including Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, Financial Planning Women Connect, Literacy Lubbock and her most enjoyed pastime, Toastmasters. Linda has been an avid Toastmaster for almost five years and had the privilege of being the president of the Robert Barnhill PFP Toastmasters club for the 2018-2019 year. She is now a member of the Oakhill Toastmasters club.

New to the Austin area, she is glad to have her dog Sugz (like Sugar) by her side, where she is confident her time in Texas Tech’s renowned PFP program will help her succeed.
